Pro BY is an effective anti-algae and antibacterial biocide used as an algae preventer and disinfectant in swimming pools and large water reservoirs and tanks. It contains no chlorine, so it produces no bad odor and provides long-term biological protection. It does not irritate the eyes or skin.

It remains stable and effective in acidic and alkaline environments, across a wide pH range, in hard water and in the presence of free chlorine, and requires no daily monitoring. It neutralizes sulfate-reducing bacteria to prevent bad odors and, by eliminating microbial metabolism, reduces corrosive effects on metal and concrete.

It is non-foaming and has no corrosive effect on the pump or system (non-oxidizing). Being non-volatile, it is not lost through evaporation, and its use requires no special equipment. Its suitability for swimming pools and drinking water has been approved by the Department of Environment (U.K.) and the DWI (Drinking Water Inspectorate).

Application: apply as a regular or shock treatment according to the microbiological condition of the system. Against algae, use an initial dose of 40 ppm followed by 10 ppm once a week; against bacteria, use an initial dose of 100 ppm followed by 10 ppm once a week. In case of cloudy water, an emergency dose of 40-60 ppm is recommended.
