Product description
Proksvek 2 GR is a granular larvicide containing 2% Pyriproxyfen. Thanks to its controlled-release property, its activity lasts up to 30 days. It is effective and licensed against mosquito and housefly larvae.
When applied to pest breeding sites, it prevents larvae from transitioning to the pupal and adult stages (metamorphosis), causing them to die. In the WHO toxicity classification it is listed among insecticides that do not cause acute poisoning, and at the normal dose its use in drinking water sources is permitted. At the recommended doses it has no toxic effect on bees, birds, fish or aquatic organisms.
It is a suitable formulation for breeding sites such as septic tanks, slow-flowing channels and reed beds, offering ease of use and a long duration of effect.
Application: against mosquito larvae, apply 10 g active ingredient/ha (500 g product/ha) in clean water using a motorized granule sprayer or by hand (with gloves). Against housefly larvae in waste, manure and sludge pits, apply 0.05 g active ingredient/m2 (2.5 g product/m2). The application interval is 30 days.
