Product description
Proksvek 10 WG contains Pyriproxyfen, a juvenile hormone analogue. It is a proven product used to control mosquito, housefly and Chironomid larvae. By maintaining the juvenile hormone effect in the larva, it prevents the larva from maturing into an adult.
At the normal application dose, its use in drinking water sources is permitted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the EPA. Because it does not harm non-target organisms, it is classed as a safe third-generation larvicide; at the recommended doses it has no toxic effect on fish, birds or other aquatic life.
Application: against mosquito and Chironomid larvae, spray in clean water by diluting 1 kg of product to 100 litres and applying 10 litres of mixture per hectare (10 g active ingredient/ha). Against housefly larvae in organic waste such as landfills and manure heaps, dilute 100 g of product to 300 litres of water and apply 3 litres of mixture per square metre (0.1 g active ingredient/m2). The application interval is 30 days.
