Product description
A larvicide containing the active ingredient S-methoprene, produced against mosquito and fly larvae and nymphs that threaten public health. S-methoprene is a juvenile hormone analogue (an insect growth regulator, IGR) that regulates growth and maturation in larvae.
It does not act as a direct toxin; during critical development stages it interferes with the larva's hormone balance, preventing its transition to the pupal and adult stages. As no resistance has developed in mosquito and fly larvae, its effectiveness has been proven in a wide range of settings.
It is target-specific and does not harm mammals, water birds or beneficial predatory insects. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the use of S-methoprene in drinking-water sources for larval control.
Application: dilute with water at the specified rate according to the target area and apply by spraying.
